Edward Snowden is a 31-year old former U.S citizen, who revealed information from the NSA that gave way to revelations about privacy issues and digital security which allowed for a global debate on such issues. Snowden worked for the intelligence community and even served undercover in the CIA. The US government has charged Snowden with theft of government property, and two further charges under the 1917 Espionage Act. I believe Edward Snowden is a hero because the information of his position in the government, what his revelations gave to the United States, and how that impacts citizens today.
The position of Edward Snowden in the United States intelligence community gave him access to important information. Early in his career, Edward Snowden was employed as a security guard at The University of Maryland’s center for Advanced Study of Language, which was sponsored by the NSA. After attending a job-fair in 2006, Snowden was employed by the Central Intelligence Agency, where he was assigned to the global communications division. In March 2007 the CIA stationed Snowden with diplomatic cover in Geneva, Switzerland, where he was responsible for maintaining computer-network security. In 2009, he started worked for Dell as a contractee. U.S. officials and other sources familiar with the investigation said Snowden began downloading documents describing the government's electronic spying programs while working for Dell in April 2012. The information disclosed by Edward Snowden is important in understanding the impact of his revelations. The exact size of his disclosure is unknown, but it is estimated that Snowden released 15,000 or more Australian intelligence files and British officials estimate at least 58,000 British intelligence files. It is estimated that he disclosed 1.7 million NSA files. Snowden's decision to leak NSA documents was following his March 2007 job position as a technician to the Geneva CIA station. The revelations were significant to the American public and was important in determining the future and safety of Americans. The documents released revealed previously unknown details of a global surveillance apparatus run by the United States' NSA. The first program to be revealed was PRISM, which allows for court-approved direct access to Americans' Google and Yahoo accounts. It was also leaked that NSA was paying U.S. private tech companies for access to their communications networks. NSA was harvesting millions of email and instant messaging contact lists, searching email content, tracking and mapping the location of cell phones. He explained that "My sole motive is to inform the public as to that which is done in their name and that which is done against them.” Edward Snowden’s information was essential in the lives of many Americans. His important position gave him the credibility of the information being received. The information he leaked was vital in the safety of Americans. Lastly, what this information meant for the public was that they were able to know that their privacy was being monitored by the United States government. For these reasons, Edward Snowden is a hero. Materials leaked: Apparent Somali Assassination order, Bank Julius Baer lawsuit, Guantanamo Bay procedures. I think that this would be justified only if it would save other people. However, the information is secret for a reason, so maybe there are important reasons why this information was not revealed and a site should not have the right to decide for themselves what should be leaked and what should not be leaked 14-8 Web sites can have many different locations, encryption of data, redirection which allows many different addresses that set up to send you to a particular location. Mirror sites—if the core Web server goes down, there's another Web server at a different location that will have the exact same look, feel and content. 13-8 This is Superimposition Based Augmented Reality and this augmented reality added a chair into the setting. Other objects were added to the photo such as a lamp, additionally, something such as a piece of art or other accessories could be added to the background of the picture in order to better the photo. 13-9 Film preservation techniques, using high resolution film scanners, can scan these negatives at resolutions up to 8k. Dirt, scratches, tears can all be fixed during image processing techniques. For digital restoration of data, new file formats are developed and older ones become obsolete. For digital restoration of paintings, restorers can either create a fully digital version of the restored work, or use a digital copy to practice restoration techniques before applying them to the original painting. 13-10 Analyze the issue of online identities. Should users be required to use, and prove, their real identity before using online services such as virtual worlds and games? What are the risks and the benefits? Evaluate your answer.

How can IT world help provide a solution to the problem of shifting energy sources for automobiles?3/2/2018 It is observed that over 80 percent of world's energy comes from fossil fuels. The United States uses only 2-3 percent of wind, solar and geothermal energy. Natural gas and coal are alternatives for the transportation industry. Natural gas fueled 5 million vehicles in 2011. Coal can generate electricity for electric vehicles. These two resources are more abundant in the world than oil. Natural gas is also viewed as one of the cleanest fossil fuels. It produces comparatively low pollutants and greenhouse gases. IT can provide this solution through different plants that supply cleaner energy. For example, building wind turbines, wave power plants, tidal turbines, and solar power plants. Additionally, on CNN 10 I learned about hydrogen powered vehicles. They are silent and do not produce any pollution. Hydrogen stations are becoming more prominent, thus solving the problem and transitioning to clean energy.
